Washi eggs are created utilizing delicate, beautifully-patterned, decorative papers that traditionally are used in many Japanese crafts. One begins with a hollowed-out egg and the papers are applied to the egg. In this class you will be given papers for up to 8 eggs and decorate two eggs within the time allowed. The additional papers may be taken with and applied at home to other eggs.
Learn to make this decorated goose egg, applying a silk print, trimming around the print, and adding beaded flowers and trim. Very easy egg to start your journey into exquisite eggshell artistry.
Learn to make one of these traditional UK eggs utilizing the wax and dye process and
drop-pull technique. From the picture one can see the use of traditional colors in a traditional design. For anyone who has taken this workshop before, choose a different color scheme for your final design, with each egg reflecting your own talent.
